On offer here are Two 1971 Classic Yamaha YR5 350cc two stroke motorcycles, a nice pair so to speak!
These were the immediate forerunner to the RD350 and now quite rare and collectable.
Bike # 1 is a UK import, cleared, taxed, and on Irish plates. It is an all original, matching numbers machine (all classic Yamahas would have left the factory with identical frame and engine numbers) it is in excellent original, unrestored condition and runs and rides exactly like it should. Worth mentioning is that the tank has suffered some fading as shown in the pictures as it was on display for many years in a dealers window. All chromework is in good order and the bike shows 8200 miles.
Bike # 2 Is also a UK import however it has not been through the VRT process, there will not be any import duty to be paid due to its vintage status. This machine has been restored, frame powder coated and fresh paintwork. Worth mentioning here is that the shade of the paintwork is very slightly darker than original
